The last year I was watching the number of REOs in the Montclair area. I find one or two at the same time but that is about it. But when I checked last night, alas! I found 11! It seems away too many. The price ranges under $300K to close to $1M. But many are in the range between $500K and $650K. In any case, having too many REO's are depressing. Of course I feel very bad to the previous owners.
I hope we find some positive outcome soon.

2700 Le Conte - three units for sale!
There were three units for sale from this complex in Berkeley. I believe that all units are almost identical in terms of size. One was priced for $199K (changed from $249K). This was auctioned yesterday and now it is PENDING! It will be interesting to find out the final sale price. The escrow is supposed to be closed in 10 days.
Another unit is selling for $419K (changed from $385K). I have seen this unit. It is very nice. It has been for sale for 39 days. It is on the 3rd floor and nice wooded view.
The last unit is selling for $429K and just came to the market. This will be open tomorrow.
It will be interesting to find out how the sale of units go. They are all great for people work or study at UCB. Nice North Bay area. Don't miss them!

WOW Midcentury Modern in Albany - 548 Madison
I must say WOW! This house has it all! A great open floor plan, post & beam, a fireplace, great outdoor space for family to have fun, (or a couple to enjoy!. It is quite nice for the price of $689K! Oh I wish that I haven't bought my house yet. Alas, I do have a mortgage to take care of. So, this is not for me. If you like mid-century modern and haven't found a good one yet, this is it. Though you still want to update bathrooms, it is not a big deal. Oh, now you know the address??? You'd better contact me. What can I say? I am a realtor.

Benjamin Moore Aura Paint Bath/Spa
I am a savvy painter. ( I mean I like to paint the wall of my own house.) I always buy Benjamin Moore paints even though they are expensive. The result is always pleasing to me. During my absence from painting in 2008, the paint industry seemed to be transformed from yukky smelly to environmentally friendly low or no voc paints. I was shocked to see all the changes they made.
I wanted to change the look of the bathroom that was painted badly by the previous owner. I found this flat paint called Aura Bath/Spa. I could not say no to it. I have bought a few colors and tried them on. (It always takes for a few trials before I reach my desired color.) Anyway, the odor was almost none. It seems that the paint drys quicker than the previous version. The color is quite nice since it does not have that shiny look. I am quite impressed if the flat paint really withstands the moisture in the bathroom. It must according to BM. So, it will be....
